The first quarter of the year is already over! Time flies when you are hard at work. Now is the time to review your goals and check your progress.
How did you do? Did you follow your plan of action and get the results you were looking for? Did you miss a few steps on the way? Did you find that some of your goals were off?
This is the time to review not just the progress, but the goals themselves. Often when reviewing, we realize that our goals were not clear enough. When we set the goal maybe it wasn't measurable. Maybe it didn't fall in line with company philosophy. Maybe it was too broad.
You can fix that! Keep the company values as well as your financial goals in focus when re-setting goals. Make sure the goals are measurable. It is ok to set "stretch" goals, just don't make your goals so unreachable that you lose momentum.
Once you have evaluated the goals themselves, check your progress on the goals you chose to keep. Were the action plans followed? If they were, did you achieve your desired results? If not, keep your mind open to new plans of action. Use a mind mapping technique or work with a team to "mastermind" ideas that keep you on track to achieving your ultimate goals.
